That’s what The Winston offers—a great golf club with a course that checks all the boxes.
Location, location
No one wants to waste time in their car driving to and from their club. The Winston’s location—only a short drive from downtown Calgary—means you can use the course on your schedule. Escape after work to meet with friends for golf and dinner or play in a league night.
Friends and family
There’s no pretence at The Winston. This is a welcoming golfer’s club, where you will meet others passionate about the sport. But it is also a club where you can bring your son or daughter and teach them the foundations of the greatest game. Or perhaps connect with old friends who meet at The Winston for a regular game. Membership Details
Shareholder
• $10,000 share purchase.
• Annual dues of $5,100.
• Unlimited rounds of golf.
• 7-day advance tee-time booking and first priority on weekend balloting.
• Unlimited use of the driving range, putting greens and practice areas.
• Golf simulator access January through March, November and December.
• Club cleaning and club storage.
• In-house leagues and tournaments, member/guest tournaments and inter-club matches.
• Membership with Golf Canada and Alberta Golf.
• A spouse of a Shareholder is eligible to apply for a Unrestricted Spousal membership without purchasing another Share.
Trial
A Trial golf membership is an ideal introduction to The Winston. It includes all the benefits of full membership with the exception of voting rights on club matters. This is a one-time, non-transferable membership expires on December 31 and is open to applicants who have not previously held Membership status.
• Annual dues of $6,100 which includes a $1,000 share accrual credit.
• Unlimited rounds of golf.
• 7-day advance tee-time booking and first priority on weekend balloting.
• Unlimited use of the driving range, putting greens and practice areas.
• Golf simulator access January through March, November and December.
• Club cleaning and club storage.
• Participation in member-only leagues and tournaments, member/guest tournaments, and inter-club matches.
• Membership with Golf Canada and Alberta Golf.
• One small locker is included with membership.
• A spouse of a Trial member is eligible to apply for a Spousal membership.
Young Professional
The Young Professional membership provides young adults between 31 and 35 years of age the ability to experience the benefits of The Winston Golf Club. Individuals interested in joining The Winston as a Young Professional do not have to be descendants of The Winston members. This membership category is limited, so applications may be subject to approval.
• Annual dues of $5,000 which includes a $1,000 share accrual credit.
• Young Professionals on a share payment plan are eligible for annual dues of $3,500.
• Unlimited rounds of golf from late April through October.
• 5-day advance tee-time booking and weekend balloting after A and B categories and access to all open weekend and holiday tee times starting the Wednesday prior.
• Unlimited use of the driving range, putting greens, and practice areas.
• Golf simulator access January through March, November and December.
• Participation in Club Championships and other member tournaments.
• Membership with the Golf Canada and Alberta Golf.

How do I become a member of The Winston?

What does it cost to become a member of The Winston Golf Club?
We have three different tiers of membership with the following prices:
Shareholder: $10,000 share purchase with annual dues of $5,100
Trial: Annual dues of $6,100
Young Professional: Annual dues of $5,000

Can non-members still play at The Winston Golf Club?
Yes—with some limitations. As a semi-private golf club, non-members are subject to the following restrictions:
– Can only book tee times up to 4 days in advance (instead of 7 for members).
– May not participate in league play (members only).
– May only play after 1:30 PM on weekends and holidays.
– May not participate in vendor fit days.
– Cannot be given priority bookings for tee times or events.
Non-members may still book tee times, take lessons, and use our facilities as long as they abide by the above requirements.
Do members still need to observe The Winston Golf Club’s dress code?
Yes—our dress code is in effect at all times in all parts of the clubhouse and on the golf course. The General Manager will have the final decision on what constitutes suitable dress, in accordance with the following guidelines:
– Neat business or casual dress is mandatory.
– Shirts for men must have a collar or be an accepted golf shirt design.
– Women may have a collar with no sleeves or no collar with sleeves.
– All shorts must have an inseam of no less than six inches with a finished hem.
– Tailored joggers are permitted.
– Track pants, casual joggers, sweatpants, and jeans are not permitted.
